A Selling Exhibition of Hand-Made Contemporary Tribal Rugs

25th May to 12th September 2008

 

Christine Walford returns to the Tithe Barn with a new collection of unique hand-made contemporary tribal rugs.  From award-winning intricate sumakh rugs to simple kilims, plus some extraordinary hand-knotted 'pictures for the floor', this collection tempts with texture, colour and design and demonstrates the skill and artistry of the weavers.  All the rugs and carpets in the exhibition are for sale together with a fascinating collection of artefacts, textiles (including an abundance of scarves and wraps in wonderful colours), ceramics and jewellery from around the world.

 

The Exhibition is open 10am to 5pm

Wednesday to Friday (until the end of August)

also Sunday & Monday late May and August Bank Holiday weekends

Thursday and Friday only during September

WellChild will be hosting a Spring Fair

on Wednesday 14th and Thursday 15th May 2008 in the Tithe Barn

Packed with gorgeous clothes, shoes, jewellery, and accessories, delicious gourmet foods, beautiful linens and soft furnishings for the house and garden, the Fair will embrace all elements of stylish living, and all for a good cause.

 

While the event is primarily a fun occasion, there is a serious side to the Spring Fair. 

Funds raised will help sick children get better through practical support and research.
